Lafayette didn't need extra innings to defeat Ripley Thursday night. After being pushed to win in nine innings at home on Tuesday night, the Commodores defeated the Tigers 12-5.<>

The Commodores collected 12 hits in the win and broke open a 6-1 lead with with runs in the top of the fourth. Hunter Bishop, John Murprhee, Jake McPhail and Austin Arrington all had two hits in the win. Arrington and McPhail each had a double, while John Murphree had a triple.

Arrington led the Commodores with three RBIs. Eli Murphree pitched five innings to earn the victory. He finished with three strikeouts against one walk. He also gave up nine hits. Arrington pitched the final two innings.
