Lafayette made quick work of the New Albany Bulldogs Friday night at William L. Buford Stadium. Fans had no stress when the homecoming queen was announced as the Commodores had a six-touchdown lead. <>
The Commodores went on to defeat the Bulldogs 49-14, with all of their touchdowns coming in the first half. Tyrell Price scored the first three touchdowns for the Commodores, who are now 8-1 overall. Jamarcus Quarles then added the next three on the ground for Lafayette.
Quarterback Will Ard capped the scoring with a 41-yard completion to Price. Lafayette smothered the Bulldogs on defense to keep the score one sided.
Up next for the Commodores is a road matchup with Senatobia that will decide the 2-4A championship next week.
