Seeded third nationally, the MUW (Mississippi University for Women) Owls women's soccer team will make its first appearance in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Division I Soccer Championship Tournament at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Virginia (Thursday, October 7th - Sunday, October 10th).

The W will play in a five-modified FIFA-style pool play. The Owls landed in Pool B with the University of Maine – Fort Kent, the No. 2 seed. The two teams will play a two-game aggregate match-up and the winner will go on to play in the title game.

The Owls enter the tournament 10-6. Former South Pontotoc standout Nevin Holley is a junior defender for the Owls, joining the program this year after two seasons at Southwest Mississippi Community College.
