Hello from Pontotoc Health and Rehab!
I want to start off by inviting everyone out for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 19th. We will begin the egg hunt at 10AM. We will have two age groups this year, 0-5 years old and 6-10 years old. Prizes will be given away and we are excited to announce we will have the Easter Bunny on site. Please come out and join us for this fun filled day!
With the weather as nice as it was, we had an amazing week.
We began the week with Mrs. Bobbie Harrelson for Sunday School followed by West Heights Baptist Church for preaching that afternoon.
On Monday morning, we played our weekly bingo session. Our residents love the ladies from Canaan Apostolic Church so much they asked them to start coming every other Monday afternoon to sing extra, so at 2pm, we welcomed Mindy and Olivia Morris.
On Tuesday morning. We began manicures at 9:30am and several residents visited the beauty shop throughout the day.
On Wednesday morning, Theresa Johnston led devotion and exercise and that afternoon she played dominoes with a few residents.
On Thursday morning, we welcomed Mindy Morris, Sister Patricia Long, Amber McMillen and Lisa Lyons to sing and worship with us. Thursday afternoon, the Therapy department and I took several residents out on the patio and we all enjoyed the nice warm weather and tasty popsicles. I would like to thank each of the ladies in the Therapy department for taking the time out from their busy day to lend a helping hand.
On Friday morning, we began stuffing Easter eggs with candy. Several residents joined in, they take pride in doing things for other people. Friday afternoon we had arts and crafts and made some of the cutest door hangers. We all had our hearts set on going fishing, but the weather was cool and rainy, so we postponed fishing. We plan to go as soon as the weather warms up and the rain stops.
Saturday morning, we welcomed Brother Josh Westmoreland to preach, and we ended the week with games of choice. For games of choice we played 15 Nickels. We had a great time.
We are looking forward to another great week here at Pontotoc Health and Rehab. We hope that you can come out and visit with us soon. If you would like to do an activity, help with an activity or donate items for an activity please contact Theresa Johnston or Carrie Mathis at 662-489-6411. Have a blessed week.
