The South Pontotoc tennis team rolled past Belmont 6-1 at home Thursday to move in the 3A North Half title match.

That matchup, with a trip to the state championship on the line, was scheduled for yesterday against Booneville.

In boys singles, Richie Lilly defeated Alex King 6-3, 6-0, while Leanna Polk beat Cheyenne Hughes 6-4, 2-6 (10-7) in girls singles.

Isaac Finley and Sam Morgan picked up 6-0, 6-0 shut out win over Leo Fabian in boys doubles, and Matthew Butts and Stroud Mills won 6-1, 6-0 over Marcos Trujillo and Ashton Rojas.

On the girls doubles courts, Maddy Angle and Addi Smith dropped Stefany Gilleland and Rylie Kellum 6-1, 6-1, and Maggie Franks and Marisela Martinez beat Dana Salinas and Yona Gilleland 6-4, 6-0.
