The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal welcomes you to enjoy more – more local, regional and state stories from the Journal staff, as well as more national news, sports and information from USA TODAY.
Daily Journal to add new content partner
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal is partnering with a nationally renowned media company to begin delivering additional pages every day to readers across the region featuring the work of USA TODAY.
The new partnership will bring more national news, sports and entertainment coverage from USA TODAY – four to six additional pages daily – to pair with the Journal’s award-winning local, regional and state coverage.
The two powerful news media brands packaged together will provide readers with more content every day.
“We’re excited to offer our readers such a value-added piece to an already great product through the national news and sports content from USA TODAY,” said Journal Inc. CEO Clay Foster. “The USA TODAY name is trusted around the world, and we look forward to partnering with them to fulfill a great need in the communities we serve across Northeast Mississippi.”
The Daily Journal will not be increasing the newspaper’s subscription price with the addition of USA TODAY content, Foster said. A special promotional price will be offered for residents seeking to get the newspaper delivered to their home each day. New subscribers can sign up to start receiving the Daily Journal for just $8.25 a month.
“This new partnership will allow our newsroom to focus on more local, regional and state content, while still keeping readers informed on what’s going on across the country and world,” said Daily Journal Editor Rod Guajardo. “We’re pleased to partner with such a reputable and trusted organization. We believe this will give readers the best of both worlds – local content from the Daily Journal and national news from USA TODAY.”
Every day of the week, readers will find a variety of news, sports and entertainment content from USA TODAY.
All the USA TODAY pages will also be added to the Daily Journal’s e-edition, which is available to all print subscribers at no additional cost. Non-subscribers can purchase the Journal’s e-edition for the same discounted rate.
