Lewisburg three-star cornerback Cameron Threatt was one of two commitments Mississippi State received on Saturday.

Saturday was another solid day on the recruiting front for Joe Moorhead and Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs landed a pair of commitments – one for 2020 and the first member of the 2022 class.

Lewisburg three-star cornerback Cameron Threatt was the first player to commit on Saturday, choosing MSU over 11 other offers including Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt from the SEC.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder is expected to graduate early and enroll at State in January. Threatt made 85 tackles, three interceptions, broke up eight passes and forced a fumble as a junior.

Tupelo tight end Jacarius Clayton was the second commitment of the day for the Bulldogs. A broken wrist prevented the 6-foot-5, 245-pounder from playing for the Golden Wave varsity as a freshman last season.

MSU was the first school to offer Clayton a scholarship and is also being recruited by Alabama and LSU.
