Mississippi State is making its annual holiday visit to Jackson’s Mississippi Coliseum tonight, where it will play host to Centenary at 7.

The Bulldogs (9-2), winners of six in a row, are 13-5 overall in games played at the Big House. They’ve won nine consecutive games there, including a 74-68 win over Nicholls State last year.

MSU has won all six previous meetings with Centenary (4-6). The Bulldogs opened the 2008-09 season with a 77-55 win against the Gents in Starkville.

State is led by junior Ravern Johnson’s 14.4 points per game and 47.1-percent 3-point shooting. Senior Jarvis Varnado is averaging 14.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

Centenary, coached by Greg Gary, is paced by David Perez, who averages 20.4 points per game.

Tickets can be bought online at mstateathletics.com or by calling (601) 353-0603. This is MSU’s last game until Dec. 28, when it takes on Mississippi Valley State.
