No. 11 Mississippi State will vie for its 20th win of the season traveling to LSU tonight at 8 p.m. on SEC Network. The Bulldogs are trying to reach 20 wins for the third consecutive season for the first time ever.
However, getting a win in Baton Rouge has been easier said than done for the Bulldogs. MSU is just 1-23 all-time there with its lone win coming in 2009.
LSU has won nine straight overall in the series and leads 47-6. The Tigers picked up a 71-69 double overtime win in Starkville last year.
The Tigers (8-14, 2-7 SEC) have lost six of their last seven and are paced by junior forward Alexis Hyder’s 11.2 points.
State (19-4, 6-3 SEC) has won its last two outings and are led by sophomore guard Victoria Vivians, who is third in the conference averaging 17.5 points.
