OXFORD -- Junior outfielder Thomas Dillard has said his good-byes to Ole Miss baseball.
Dillard, a former Oxford High School standout, was the No. 163 pick in the draft, going in the fifth round to the Milwaukee Brewers.
He becomes the first of the drafted Ole Miss juniors to post a Twitter farewell.
"Thank you Rebel Nation for making my time at Ole Miss truly unforgettable," Dillard wrote. "This university is a special place and will always be home for me. I will forever be indebted to Ole Miss."
Shortstop Grae Kessinger (second round), pitcher Will Ethridge (fifth round) and catcher Cooper Johnson (sixth round) are not expected to return.
Situations may be more complicated for pitchers Parker Caracci, Zack Phillips and Houston Roth and first baseman Cole Zabowski. All were drafted in the 20s with eligibility remaining.
