DONTAE' JONES CLEARED TO PLAY AGAINST NO. 22 AUBURN

Mississippi State's Dontae' Jones will be in the Bulldogs' starting lineup today when they play at Auburn.
Jones, a 6-foot-7 junior forward, was held out of Wednesday's SEC home game against Georgia pending a review of a discrepancy in two correspondence course grades he received from the University of Southern Mississippi.
"After an evaluation of the circumstances surrounding the review of Dontae' Jones' correspondence courses, I am satisfied with the outcome of why the two grades were changed," MSU athletic director Larry Templeton said Thursday. "I am clearing him to play in Saturday's game at Auburn."
Jones took 36 hours during the summer in order to graduate from Northeast Mississippi Community College. Of those hours, 13 were taken correspondence from Southern Mississippi.
The registar at USM notified MSU and Northeast Tuesday that was a problem with the recording of Jones' final independent study grades.
Once the error and grades were corrected, Jones still maintained a high enough grade point average needed to graduate from Northeast and be eligible to play at MSU.
Jones is averaging 11.9 points and 5.9 rebounds a game for the Bulldogs.
