Mississippi State landed its second commitment of the day on Wednesday with the addition of Horn Lake three-star linebacker Jakivuan Brown.
Brown joins Holmes Community College wide receiver Caleb Ducking, who pledged his services earlier in the day.
Brown rated the No. 15 prospect in the state and the 52nd best outside linebacker in the country according to 247Sports.com. He chose the Bulldogs over offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Baylor, Indiana, Kentucky, Memphis, Oregon and Southern Miss.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder rushed seven times for 21 yards and caught 10 passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball for the Eagles.
Brown is MSU’s 16th commitment for the 2020 class and the second linebacker pledge.
