Friday was a good day for Mississippi State on the recruiting trail with the addition of two four-star athletes from within the Magnolia State borders.

St. Joseph’s Dillon Johnson and Philadelphia’s Lideatrick Griffin both jumped on board to bring the Bulldogs’ total to 21 in the class of 2020, which is ranked 12th in the nation by 247Sports.com.

Johnson picked MSU over 13 other offers including Missouri, Arkansas and Ole Miss from the SEC. is a 6-foot, 192-pounder led the Fighting Irish to the MAIS AA state championship throwing for 957 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushing for 1,665 yards an 18 more scores.

Griffin rejoins the Bulldogs’ class after de-committing on May 8. The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder also holds SEC offers from Auburn, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Griffin is the No. 3 rated recruit in Mississippi and Johnson is ranked No. 6.
