A look ahead

Mississippi State returns home to face Auburn on Wednesday, before traveling to Gainesville on Saturday to battle Florida. Earlier this year, the Bulldogs claimed an 83-64 victory at Auburn, which defeated Alabama 88-76 on Sunday.

SEC standings

With its win against South Carolina, coupled with the fact Kentucky defeated Arkansas, MSU now leads the Western Division by two games over the Razorbacks with four to play.

Bulldog bites

Mississippi State has clinched a first-round bye in the SEC tournament. ... The Bulldogs have already won more SEC games than a year ago. ... With 214 blocks, MSU is eight shy of tying the school mark of 222 set last year. ... Jarvis Varnado leads the nation with 125 blocks.
