After receiving 13 of their 18 class of 2020 commitments in June, Ole Miss has finally snagged the quarterback that will tie the class together.
Robby Ashford, a 4-star two-sport prospect, out of Hoover, Alabama, was the guy that Rich Rodriguez and the Rebels set out to land in this class and now they have him.
The uber-athletic 6'2 200-pound-plus Ashford turned down other offers from the likes of Georgia, Oregon, Florida State, Texas, A&M, Florida, Mississippi State, Louisville and others. However, it was the in-state Auburn Tigers the Rebels really had to fend off.
While he ranks as a composite 4-star when you accumulate the average of the major recruiting sites, 247sports ranks him as 0.91 4-star - good enough to rank as the nations 238th best player and 10th best from Alabama, and 7th best quarterback.
Currently, Ashford is competing in the Elite 11 quarterback competition at Nike's The Opening.
