Looking back: The Diamond Dogs rallied for a 10-8 victory over Troy on Tuesday but were swept at home by No. 10 LSU to close out the regular season. The Tigers won 3-1, 11-5 and 11-7 to share the SEC title.

Looking ahead: MSU will be the No. 5 seed in the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala. The Bulldogs will play 12th-seeded Georgia in the first round on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

MVP: Brent Rooker continued his quest to win the SEC Triple Crown going 9 for 15 with three doubles, five RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base last week.

The junior first baseman from Germantown, Tennessee, leads the league in batting average (.415), slugging percentage (.873), on-base percentage (.519), hits (85), RBIs (73), doubles (28), home runs (20), total bases (179) and stolen bases (18). Rooker set the school single-season record for doubles.
