Robert Scott, the top-ranked offensive lineman in the state of Arkansas for the 2020 signing class, made his pledge to Ole Miss on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-6 and nearly 300-pound offensive tackle picked the Rebels over offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Arkansas State among others.
If the commitment holds, it will be the second consecutive recruiting cycle that Ole Miss has gone into the Natural State and grabbed a signature from the top offensive lineman. In the 2019 class, the Rebels signed mammoth offensive tackle Darius Thomas.
There will be some updates to come with his national rankings, as he does not register a composite ranking yet. However, 247sports rates him as an 86/3-star (No. 54 OT, No. 5 overall in Arkansas) and Rivals says he is a 5.7/3-star and the top player in his home state.
Scott is the eighth commitment for Ole Miss in June, and the 13th for the 2020 class. And he brings the class ranking to 20th in the country, according to 247sports.
